How to Set Up NZBGet on Mac
Follow this guide to set up NZBGet on your Mac and connect to Eweka's high-quality Usenet service. NZBGet is a lightweight, efficient newsreader that runs well on macOS and integrates easily with your preferred Indexer.
Step 1: Install NZBGet
- 
	Visit the NZBGet official website and download the macOS version. 
- 
	Open the .dmgfile and move NZBGet to your Applications folder.
- 
	Launch NZBGet. You may need to approve it in your Mac's security settings under System Preferences > Security & Privacy. 
Step 2: Access the NZBGet Web Interface
- 
	Open your browser and go to http://localhost:6789.
- 
	When prompted, log in with: - 
		Username: nzbget 
- 
		Password: admin 
 
- 
		
Step 3: Configure Eweka Server Settings
- 
	From the NZBGet Web interface, click on Settings. 
- 
	Under the News-Servers section, locate Server1 and modify it: - 
		Name: Eweka 
- 
		Host: news.eweka.nl 
- 
		Port: 563 (for SSL) 
- 
		Username: Your Eweka username 
- 
		Password: Your Eweka password 
- 
		Encryption: Yes (SSL) 
- 
		Connections: 8–12 is typically sufficient 
- 
		Retention: Use Eweka’s full article retention for optimal results 
 
-

	Scroll down and click Save all changes. 

Step 4: Restart NZBGet
- 
	In the NZBGet Web interface, go to System > Reload NZBGet and click the Reload button to apply your settings. 

Step 5: Connect an NZB Indexer
To search for articles on Usenet, connect NZBGet with an Indexer of your choice.
